Patric Niederhauser (born 8 October 1991) is a Swiss racing driver, who competed in the 2015 FIA GP2 Series with Daiko Team Lazarus.[1] Neiderhauser would only make two starts in GP2 during 2015, before switching focus to GT racing from 2016 onward.[2]
Background[]
Niederhauser began racing at the age of fourteen, competing in his native Switzerland in a variety of karting championships.[2] After finishing second in the Swiss Karting Championship Niederhauser would secure his first race car seat, having obtained a drive in the Formula Abarth series in Italy.[2] The Swiss racer duly went on to finish second in the Championship, before going one better in 2011, claiming the title with six wins.[2]
GP Dream[]
The GP3 Series beckoned for Niederhauser in 2012, resulting in two race wins for the Swiss racer en-route to seventh, alongside several appearances in Italian Formula 3.[2] A less impressive campaign in 2013 followed, with Niederhauser failing to win in GP3, although he did enough to secure a seat for the 2014 season of GP3.[2] Two wins that season saw the Swiss racer finish tenth in the Championship, although Niederhauser initially did not have a programme for 2015.[2]

Post GP2 Series Career[]
Niederhauser would focus on GT racing after his one GP2 Series outing, racing in the ADAC GT Masters from 2016 onward.[2] The Swiss racer would also compete in the Blancpain GT Series that season, and would switch to Blancpain full time in 2018.[2]
